Water and sediments concentration in headwaters create optimal conditions for the occurrence of a diversity of hydrosystems on a local scale, due to the infiltration and accumulation of rainwater in certain sectors, and to exfiltration and surface runoff in others. However, the hydrosystems connectivity makes it difficult to understand them separately. This work aims to understand the occurrence and connectivity of the hydrosystems at the UFJF Botanical Garden, an area drained by a complex fluvial-lacustrine system that harbors an expressive density of springs and wetlands. With field investigations and geoprocessing techniques, it was possible to verify the lithostructural control of the occurrence of springs and wetlands in the study area, associated with hydrogeomorphological processes of low energy, configuring predominantly helocrene environments. It was concluded that rheocrenes, helocrenes and limnocrenes hydrosystems have a clear connectivity with each other, however, the slope curvature is a fundamental parameter to comprehend the existent disruptions.
